What You Will Do:
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), and in accordance with the nursing care plan, the PCT performs delegated competency validated patient care functions and applies technical skills of a limited uncomplicated nature.
Duties include perfprming: EKG's, Tracheal suctioning,Tube feedings (NG/GT),Urinary catheter insertion,Blood draws (preferred),I.V. insertions (preferred)
What You Need to Be Successful:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). State Nursing Assistant Certification required as well as completion of one of the following training programs: hospital based program, community college, Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Corpsmen or equivalent.
Minimum of one year of recent, direct patient care experience in an acute care facility or equivalent and current CPR certification is required.
